Knowledge Translation

Working on knowledge translation projects has allowed to me combine both my creativity and passion for evidence-based learning. I have refined my skills to be able to develop more accessible and engaging knowledge translation products. My knowledge translation videos have been posted across the PAWSitive Connection Lab's Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok pages
Social Media Videos
Why Social Media Videos?
For many people, social media is a primary source for information and education. It is a powerful tool to promote research findings and advocacy campaigns to an audience who is not accessing this knowledge. Accessible education and knowledge, in the form of short form content, allow for the social issues that research and advocacy target to reach key stakeholders that might benefit from the presented education and research.
Reacher Research Breakdowns is a video series that I conceptualized as a means to share research findings from the PAWSitive Connections lab in an engaging and accessible manner. The videos star Reacher, my black lab who is a therapy dog and research service dog in training. In these videos I take manuscripts that are written for an academic audience and extract key information relating to the purpose, methods, and findings and present them in an easily digestible format for the general public.
